Job summary

IPRO is seeking a Coding Reviewer to validate and verify coding for independent dispute resolution reviews from external state and federal agencies. The role requires applying coding standards to claims and clinical data, with emphasis on DRG validation and accuracy.

The position is on-site in Jericho, NY, requiring collaboration with technical, medical, analytical and administrative teams. Two years of outpatient coding experience and RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCS-P certification are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCS-P certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare admin or health information management preferred.
• Minimum two years of outpatient coding experience for billing.

Responsibilities

• Confirm and verify submitted codes for DRG validation.
• Apply national coding standards and regulations to the claims and clinical data.
• Provide subject matter input and support agency-wide projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
