Job summary

500 Degrees is seeking a talented Digital Retoucher to join our Image Lab in Columbus, OH. In this onsite role, you'll retouch and color-correct assets for print and digital projects, ensuring high-quality visuals for a variety of clients.

Collaborate with creative and project management teams, follow workflow standards, manage priorities to meet deadlines, and participate in developing efficient processes. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of commercial retouching using Adobe Photoshop.
• Print production or prepress background.
• Expert-level color correction and ability to adapt to various styles/workflows.
• Strong understanding of CMYK and RGB color spaces.
• Experience with color conversion and profile management.
• Experience with retouching food and consumer household products.
• Advanced knowledge of Photoshop Smart Objects and non-destructive editing.
• Working knowledge of InDesign and Illustrator.

Responsibilities

• Retouch and enhance images for print, digital, and cross-functional applications.
• Create and edit files for RGB and CMYK workflows.
• Maintain high-quality control standards for all deliverables.
• Execute advanced retouching with a strong eye for art, composition, and color.
• Follow established file build structures and department standards.
• Manage priorities and daily workflow to meet deadlines.
• Communicate with Project Management to keep projects on schedule.
• Process and convert files in bulk using actions and droplets.
• Assist in developing and improving workflow processes and best practices.
• Ensure proper naming conventions and organization of files and artwork.
