Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• One or more years’ experience in food service role in preparing food for institutions, such as school, hospital or cafeteria preferred.
• Understands safe food handling procedures
• Ability to operate dishwasher, stoves, ovens, mixers and other related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Washes, cleans and sanitizes kitchen cookware, utensils, dishes, trays, and service prep items.
• Cleans kitchen areas including cooking, prep, restrooms, serving counters, dishwashing area, dry storage, cooler and freezers per policy.
• Assists cooking staff in meal preparations and stocking of storage areas; prepares snacks and beverages for serving and delivery.
• Serves food to patients and staff at serving counters; ensures proper portions and labeling.
