Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an onsite DevOps Engineer in Springfield, VA, to join a government consulting firm. You will manage secure AWS/GovCloud infrastructure, automate CI/CD pipelines, and implement IaC to support scalable environments.

The role requires strong Linux and networking skills, experience with Terraform/CloudFormation, and the ability to resolve complex system issues. An active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance is mandatory, with full-time onsite work in Springfield.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 6+ years of experience in relevant field.
• Strong experience with AWS GovCloud (C2S) and CI/CD tools.
• Proficiency in Linux, networking, and system administration.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• OS installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Excellent issue resolution and escalation communication.
• Must hold an active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build, automate, and maintain secure AWS (C2S/GovCloud) infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code to support scalable environments.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across systems, applications, and network layers.
• Collaborate with development, infra, and security teams to streamline deployments.
• Monitor system health using CloudWatch and Kibana.
