Workforce Solutions seeks a practical Design Engineer for our Madison, WI location to take ideas from concept through production. You will own the full design lifecycle, including modeling, documentation, and production handoff, in a hands-on, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; Blender or similar tools are a plus.
• Ability to produce clear, accurate technical drawings and BOMs.
• Self-starter who can manage projects independently.
• Strong organizational and file management skills.
• Solid communication skills to explain technical concepts.
• ERP experience (Odoo) is beneficial.
• 2+ years in manufacturing, design, or fabrication environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer needs into design concepts from sketches to models.
• Create 3D models, technical drawings, and BOMs for production.
• Manage design projects, file organization, version control, and documentation.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are practical and buildable.
• Support process improvements and adoption of new tools.
• Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and team workflows.
