Job summary

MANTECH seeks a Data Manager for our government-site team at the Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC. This is an onsite position focused on designing and governing enterprise semantic models and integrating Microsoft ecosystem tools to enable unified data management and context-aware business solutions.

The role requires 7+ years in data management or related fields, experience with DAX, and hands-on work with Power BI, SharePoint, Power Apps, or Power Automate.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in data management, data architecture, or database administration.
• Experience with enterprise data warehousing, relational database design, and schema modeling.
• Experience writing and optimizing DAX and tuning query engine performance.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, SharePoint, Power Apps, or Power Automate.
• Demonstrated use of TMDL and deployment pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, govern, and integrate enterprise semantic models for organizational hierarchies, vendors, platforms, and systems.
• Collaborate with Flankspeed developers across Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Power BI.
• Set up semantic models and relational databases to support schedules.
• Write and optimize DAX; tune VertiPaq engine performance and memory usage.
• Manage version control and governance using TMDL and deployment pipelines.
• Structure semantic metadata to support AI assistants, NLP queries, and automated reporting.
• Translate operational metrics into standardized semantic definitions and KPIs.
