Job summary

Google LLC in Red Oak, TX is seeking an Operations Technician to install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware and server software. You will lead small projects, move racks, and work with cutting-edge infrastructure in a data center environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience in maintenance and monitoring of server systems.
Experience with component-level repairs and troubleshooting on IT equipment or similar roles.
Experience in data center or network operations center environment.
Experience with Linux operating systems.
Experience in project management and leadership and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

Deploy and operate new data center infrastructure across teams.
Report issues and follow data center procedures to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment or infrastructure.
Maintain the security and integrity of data following Google security standards.
Disassemble equipment at end-of-life via part replacement or maintenance.
Repair, fix, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment and infrastructure.
