Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Data Center Technician for a third-party data center in Michigan City, Indiana. The role involves installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining servers and related hardware, with responsibilities across network components, routers, hubs, and switches.

A physically demanding but rewarding environment supports Google's cutting-edge infrastructure. Candidates must be able to work onsite, handle non-standard hours, and travel as needed to support business priorities.

Qualifications

• Must have experience repairing and troubleshooting IT equipment or servers.
• Experience diagnosing operating systems, computer hardware, and server hardware.
• Experience with networking protocols and network equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate new data center infrastructure across teams.
• Report issues and follow data center procedures to troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues.
• Maintain data security and integrity in line with Google standards.
• Disassemble equipment at end-of-life for replacement.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and infrastructure.
