Job summary

Century Builders is seeking a motivated Safety Technician to support safe construction activities at a live data center project. This on site role works with the Safety Manager to implement site safety programs, monitor high risk work, coach teams, and ensure compliance with company, regulatory, client, and site-specific safety requirements.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Hour Construction certification.
• Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
• 3+ years of construction safety, field safety, or related construction experience.
• Working knowledge of OSHA construction standards, job hazard analysis, incident reporting, hazard recognition, and corrective action processes.
• Ability to communicate clearly with craft workers, supervisors, subcontractors, and project leadership.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in an active construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety protocols specific to data center environments and client expectations.
• Monitor high risk activities including energized work, crane picks, confined spaces, and MOP/SOP/EOP execution. Ensure compliance with owner required safety standards and site-specific procedures.
• Maintain and enforce site specific safety plans, JHAs, and risk assessments.
• Review pre-task plans for completeness and compliance with established safety requirements.
• Track safety metrics, incident reports, near misses, and corrective actions.
• Assist with audits and support compliance with OSHA requirements, NFPA 70E standards, and owner requirements.
