Sheakley Workforce Staffing seeks a Lead Safety Representative for a data center construction project in Sandston, VA. This 6-month, 1099 contractor role requires hands-on leadership of a small safety team and daily oversight of on-site safety activities.

Responsibilities include conducting inspections, reviewing safety plans, coordinating with management and subcontractors, and ensuring OSHA compliance across all site operations. Remote coordination is not indicated.

Qualifications

• STS-C, CHST, ASP, or CSP certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in Safety or acceptable equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of construction safety experience.
• Experience leading safety efforts on active construction projects.

Responsabilités

• Provide daily field safety oversight for active data center construction.
• Lead project safety initiatives while supporting a small onsite safety team.
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre‑task plans.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project‑specific safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions.
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel.
• Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.
