Job summary

Carrier is seeking a skilled Data Center Project Manager to oversee startup, commissioning, and field modifications of air- and water-cooled chillers in newly built data centers. The role requires strong coordination with engineering, field service, and contractors to meet schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years of project management experience, or 4+ years in mechanical installation, building automation, electrical installation, or construction.
• 2+ years reading and interpreting blueprints, and technical mechanical systems documents.
• Data center experience and HVAC knowledge are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead startup, commissioning, and field modification processes for chillers in data centers.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Track KPIs and conduct progress meetings with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with sales, prime contractors, and end-users; serve as liaison with customers and subcontractors.
• Interpret drawings to ensure design compliance and manage change orders.
