Job summary

Google seeks a Program Manager to lead multi-disciplinary data center projects from concept to deployment, coordinating requirements, schedules, risks, and cross-functional partners across offices and time zones.

You will manage data center programs, ensure on-time delivery within budget, and collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams while upholding Google's standards for quality and efficiency. This role is onsite in Amarillo, Texas.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in program or project management.
• 5 years of experience with technical teams responsible for project management, engineering, and construction of data centers or mission critical facilities.
• 5 years of experience with electrical, mechanical, controls, security monitoring, fire safety, networking/fiber, server equipment, systems, or infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple data center projects from inception to completion, overseeing all phases, including concept development, design, construction, and deployment.
• Gather and analyze internal requirements, translating them into effective solutions that meet the needs of data center operations teams.
• Work effectively within an organization, collaborating with cross-functional partners, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
• Communicate project updates, risks, and opportunities to leadership and stakeholders.
• Analyze and evaluate construction issues, developing creative solutions that minimize impact on project timelines and costs.
