Job summary

ABB, a global technology leader, is seeking a Site Operations Manager to lead onsite startup, testing, and commissioning of medium and low‑voltage power delivery systems in mission‑critical data centers. You will be the primary onsite client liaison, coordinating with project teams to ensure safety, quality, and schedule alignment.

Responsibilities include leading onsite execution, coordinating with contractors, managing documentation, and upholding ABB safety standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in electrical equipment field service, startup, testing or commissioning.
• Experience supporting data center construction or mission-critical electrical infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of commissioning processes, electrical protection systems, and power distribution equipment.
• High school diploma required; advanced electrical or mechanical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite activities related to equipment startup, testing, installation, and commissioning per project scope and safety standards.
• Serve as the primary onsite representative for the client and site stakeholders.
• Plan onsite activities, labor, equipment needs, and commissioning sequences; coordinate with general/electrical contractors and safety managers.
• Implement and uphold ABB's HSE standards on site; maintain site safety plan.
• Ensure accurate field documentation, test reports, startup checklists, redlines, and punchlist updates.
• Oversee ABB-hired subcontractors, ensuring scope, safety, quality, and schedule conformance.
• Monitor site costs and schedule progress; provide updates to Project Manager.
• Provide direction and mentorship to ABB field engineers, technicians, and support staff.
