Position Summary
Hill Country Community Clinic is seeking an onsite detail-oriented and tech-savvy Data Analyst to lead our data management and reporting initiatives while also managing the successful implementation of a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. This dual-role position is ideal for a candidate with strong analytical skills and experience in IT health systems who is passionate about community health and quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect, analyze, and interpret healthcare data to support operations, quality improvement, and strategic planning.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports for clinical, financial, and operational metrics.
- Develop standardized data processes and ensure data integrity and accuracy across systems.
- Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and leadership teams to translate data into actionable insights.
- Support UDS reporting and grant-related data requirements.
EHR Implementation & Support
- Serve as project lead for the implementation of the new EHR system, including planning, scheduling, and coordination.
- Liaise between staff, vendors, and IT to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Facilitate system configuration, data migration, testing, training, and go-live support.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to EHR workflows, policies, and procedures.
- Provide ongoing user support and identify opportunities for system optimization post-implementation.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Health Informatics, Information Systems, Public Health, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis and/or project management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, Athenahealth, etc.).
- Proficient in Excel and data visualization/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL).
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience working in an FQHC or community health setting.
- Familiarity with UDS reporting and California-specific healthcare data requirements.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or experience with project management tools.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $95,000 - $120,000, DOE
