Job summary

Innovative Consulting & Management Services (ICMS) seeks a Custodial Shift Supervisor to lead custodial staff and oversee daily operations of building interiors and exteriors, including grounds maintenance. This management role requires hands-on supervision and strong leadership.

The position is based in Fort Lee, New Jersey, with a focus on delivering safe, clean, and compliant facilities for government-related clients.

Qualifications

• 3 years in managing custodial or facility maintenance in large buildings.
• Must maintain Advanced Custodial Technician Certification (CMI) or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience supervising custodial staff in a commercial or institutional environment.
• Experience scheduling and supervising grounds maintenance activities.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to lead custodial teams.
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms, specifically Maximo.

Responsibilities

• Supervise custodial staff to ensure high-quality service and efficiency.
• Organize and manage work shifts, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and effective schedules.
• Train, evaluate, and oversee custodial personnel on cleaning techniques, safety standards, and equipment use.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures across custodial operations.
• Oversee use and maintenance of custodial equipment and cleaning supplies.
• Implement and oversee a Quality Control Program with inspections and corrective actions.
• Respond to tenant complaints and coordinate corrective actions to improve service quality.
• Manage grounds maintenance scheduling and supervision.
• Prepare reports and work schedules.
• Maintain compliance with chemical handling, storage, and disposal methods.
