Job summary

Mass General Brigham Brigham Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a per diem CRNA to provide anesthesia services for procedures. Responsibilities include preoperative evaluation, anesthesia induction and maintenance, monitoring, and post-anesthesia care under supervision.

The role requires a Master’s Degree in Nurse Anesthesia and CRNA certification. Onsite work at the facility with a per diem schedule and hourly pay range is offered.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nurse Anesthesia required.
• Anesthetist, Certified Registered Nurse [CRNA - National] required.

Responsibilities

• Provides anesthesia services to patients, including evaluation of medical history and selection of anesthesia type.
• Administers and manages anesthesia, and monitors patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Induces and maintains anesthesia, including intravenous and inhalation techniques, and serves as a resource in the OR and patient care areas.
• Inserts invasive monitoring lines as required, interprets data, and addresses findings.
• Monitors life support functions during anesthesia and communicates patient status updates per protocols.
• Prepares and evaluates anesthesia equipment, supplies, and drugs; participates in audits and meetings.
• Collaborates with Pharmacy staff on drug handling and administration.
• Provides post-operative observation and handover to nursing/physician staff in recovery area.
