Job summary

Engineered Systems in Greenville, SC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to service crane and hoist systems at the GE Vernova site. You will perform regular maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair equipment to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards.

Ideal candidates have strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, reading blueprints, and solid troubleshooting skills. This onsite role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and ongoing training in a dynamic industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar industrial role.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems including motors, VFDs and PLCs.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines and maintenance practices.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy parts; able to work at heights.
• Certifications or licenses may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance tasks on crane and hoist systems for optimal functionality.
• Diagnose issues, troubleshoot, and perform repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Conduct inspections, identify problems, and provide solutions to prevent failures.
• Assist in overall maintenance while ensuring safety standards are met.
• Create and maintain maintenance and inspection logs and documentation.
