Job summary

Kimmel & Associates, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Controller in North Carolina to oversee accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and support growth through scalable processes.

Reporting to the President, you will lead core functions and help build financial systems for future expansion. The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, implement better systems, and take on budgeting and forecasting as the company grows, including potential

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of accounting experience with supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP and accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle or similar).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and monthly/annual financial reporting.
• Lead weekly payroll and coordinate cash availability.
• Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and manage billing/PO requirements.
• Monitor receivables and drive timely collections.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Lead implementation of a purchase order system using QuickBooks or similar.
• Develop budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning frameworks.
• Build and manage the accounting team as the business grows.
