Qualifications

Active Attorney License in New York state is required.
JD from an accredited law school.
Strong legal research and writing skills are required.
Admission to federal court is preferred.
Experience demonstrating strong research and writing regardless of years in practice.
Onsite work in New York, NY is required.
Flexibility with hours; standard schedule is 10 AM–6 PM.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft memoranda, reports, and analyses.
Review, analyze, and summarize legal documents, policies, and compliance materials.
Support monitorship team in evaluating NYPD practices against federal requirements.
Prepare written findings, recommendations, and formal reports.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and maintain accurate documentation.
Manage workload while meeting deadlines and maintaining high accuracy.
