Job summary

Tailwind Applied Sciences is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations for diverse construction projects. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, enforce safety policies, and ensure work meets plans, specs, and codes.

Strong leadership and communication are essential to keep projects on time and within budget. The role requires reviewing plans, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with clients and stakeholders to resolve field issues.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily construction site operations from project startup through completion.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure compliance.
• Conduct daily site inspections to monitor quality, productivity, and safety.
• Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Lead daily toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and delays.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and workforce requirements.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and safety records.
• Communicate project status, risks, and schedule impacts to project managers and leadership.
• Manage project punch lists and ensure timely project closeout.
• Participate in client, owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings as needed.
