Job summary

BE&K Building Group seeks a Safety Manager to implement the Environmental Health and Safety Plan at assigned construction sites. This onsite role collaborates with project teams and subs to identify hazards and ensure EHSP compliance using behavior-based safety.

Responsibilities include leading safety culture, coordinating pre-qualification, delivering weekly to quarterly safety analytics, developing site-specific plans, auditing sites, and maintaining safety records.

Qualifications

• Degree in safety management or CHST certification a plus (not mandatory)
• Minimum 5 years' experience on construction sites
• Competent person, train-the-trainer, and other activity specific certifications
• Experience with Microsoft office suite

Responsibilities

• Lead and sustain BE&K's injury-free environment culture.
• Develop safety coordinators and career paths.
• Lead pre-qualification processes with subcontractors.
• Coach management on safety leadership and practices.
• Provide weekly to quarterly safety analytics for projects.
• Develop site-specific safety plans incorporating client practices.
• Conduct regular jobsite safety audits and share corrective actions.
• Maintain regional safety records and training documentation
