Job summary

Legends Global, overseeing Huntington Place Detroit, is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead capital projects from initiation to completion. You will coordinate architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to align project phases with facility operations while protecting guest experiences and maximizing capital investment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture; 15+ years of field experience.
• Extensive experience in construction management with focus on project execution.
• Proficiency with project management software and tools; knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lead teams and coordinate diverse stakeholders in fast-moving environments.
• Strong decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop full project plans including scope definition, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Track expenses, validate invoices, manage cost forecasting, and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
• Lead collaboration between contractors, architects, engineers, inspectors, and the facility’s Operations Team.
• Schedule project activities to align with Huntington Place event calendars and Detroit events to minimize disruption.
• Monitor safety, quality, and regulatory compliance (DRCFA/Legends/OSHA).
• Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies to protect budget and timelines.
• Maintain contracts, change orders, reports, drawings, and progress documentation.
• Coordinate permitting and inspections; ensure complete documentation before, during, and after inspections.
• Interpret contractual language and ensure partners meet defined roles and deliverables.
• Develop scopes of work for competitive bidding in partnership with Purchasing Director.
• Other duties as assigned.
