Job summary

C.D. Smith Construction, Inc. is seeking an on-site Assistant to support the Superintendent and Project Manager in Milwaukee. You will help manage project plans, schedules, site logistics, and daily coordination with subcontractors, Owners, and inspectors.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, cost input, safety, and effective communication to keep projects on time and within budget. Travel to various project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field or equivalent.
• 2–3 years construction-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans and proposals.
• Develop, maintain and enforce site logistics plans.
• Assist with creating a project schedule and look-ahead schedules.
• Maintain construction documents onsite with accurate as-built sets.
• Assist Superintendent in monitoring subcontractor work and provide progress updates.
• Lead site walk-throughs for Owner, Architect, Inspector, or visitors.
• Coordinate material purchases and ensure permits/inspections are complete.
• Input labor/material costs into cost codes and report on status when directed.
