Zusammenfassung

GPTech is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to support the VA Electronic Health Record Modernization Infrastructure Upgrades Program. The CM will provide onsite management, ensuring compliance with VA standards, project specs, and schedule milestones. This is a full-time, onsite position at a designated VA Medical Center within the eastern United States for the duration of the project.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and able to pass a federal background investigation.

Qualifikationen

• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a federal background check.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CM/engineering/architecture or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years construction management or construction inspection experience.
• Experience on commercial, healthcare, or federal construction projects.
• Knowledge of drawings, specifications, building codes, and quality control processes.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Experience coordinating RFIs, submittals, inspections, and contractor activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.

Aufgaben

• Provide onsite construction management throughout project execution.
• Review submittals for compliance with contract documents, VA standards, and project specifications.
• Coordinate and maintain submittal logs and construction documentation.
• Track RFIs, responses, and project correspondence.
• Monitor construction schedules with milestones, deliveries, inspections, testing, and workflow.
• Perform routine field inspections and document construction progress.
• Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions.
• Verify field conditions and assist with as‑built drawings.
• Support commissioning activities and project closeout documentation.
• Attend project meetings and provide construction status reports.
• Monitor long‑lead procurement items and communicate schedule impacts.
• Assist with claims analysis, field investigations, and construction troubleshooting.
• Maintain daily construction reports and project documentation.
