Job summary

Henley Construction Co., Inc. on Maryland's Eastern Shore seeks an Assistant Superintendent to support daily on-site operations, enforce safety standards, maintain quality, and keep project schedules on track.

You will assist with coordination, look-ahead planning, and field administration, including rough carpentry when needed. Ideal candidates hold a construction-related BS, 1–3 years of field experience, OSHA 30, Procore certification, and strong leadership plus proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction-related curriculum or equivalent field experience.
• 1-3 years of field experience in the commercial construction industry.
• OSHA 30 preferred; First Aid/CPR certified and trained (mandatory).
• Demonstrates leadership capabilities to manage on-site project teams to successful completion.
• Procore Certification referenced in qualifications.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
• Desired certifications: Forklift and Heavy Equipment; VA Registered Land Disturber; MDE E&S Green Card.
• Driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety measures in all areas and trades; perform safety audit checklist.
• Directly supervise self-perform field personnel for carpentry, concrete, demolition, and general labor.
• Maintain safety materials and procure items through field office staff.
• Produce and distribute Daily Reports.
• Oversee shop drawings/submittals and ensure installations per contract documents.
• Assist with Quality Control Program implementation.
