Qualifications

• Active Illinois EMT (EMT or EMT-B) certification.
• Experience in emergency care or occupational response.
• Ability to stay calm and think clearly under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Comfort working in a construction-site setting.
• Proactive, approachable mindset and willingness to engage with crews.

Responsibilities

• First on scene: respond immediately to onsite injuries or medical concerns.
• Preparedness: keep a fully stocked quick-response bag accessible.
• Triage and assessment: provide first aid, escalate care when needed, refer when appropriate.
• Escort support: accompany employees to external medical providers when needed.
• Follow-up care: check in post-incident for work restrictions and recovery progress.
• Accurate documentation: maintain clear incident logs for reporting and compliance.
• Proactive health engagement: promote safe habits and conduct walk-throughs on-site.
• Partner with safety leadership to reinforce a strong safety culture.
