Job summary

Wood PLC is seeking a Construction Coordinator to join our Operations Americas team. This on-site role in Northern West Virginia interfaces between the project engineering group and the construction group on small facility-based projects within an active chemical manufacturing plant near Parkersburg.

You will oversee field construction activities, review engineering packages, ensure safety & quality standards, coordinate with plant engineers and contractors, and support project execution with

Qualifications

• 10+ years industrial experience in chemical manufacturing.
• Experience with industrial construction methods in chemical facilities.
• Knowledge of QA/QC methods for piping & mechanical systems.
• Experience overseeing groups of contractors during construction.
• Outdoor work experience, PPE, and ability to walk/climb at job-site.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed safety standards set by the company and customers.
• Comply with and ensure construction work follows procedures and standards.
• Read and understand engineering packages describing scope of work.
• Provide field oversight of construction on capital projects.
• Collaborate with plant engineers to inform construction needs.
• Work with engineers, contractors, and team members to achieve success.
• Field as-built, measurement, and design as required.
• Review material take-offs and construction estimating.
• Follow up on ordered materials and on-site installations.
