Job summary

SGI Global seeks a Junior Compliance Officer to support a federal client with I-9 audit support services and worksite enforcement compliance activities. You'll review employment eligibility documentation, conduct database research, and prepare audit-ready case files and reports for enforcement actions.

This on-site role operates during core business hours with no telework, typically 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., 8-hour tours, and occasional overtime as required by the client.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but the minimum educational requirement is an Associates Level degree.
• Education is preferred to be in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a similar field.
• 1-3 years experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Inputting and evaluating data.
• Utilize DHS databases to run queries, prepare spreadsheets, and conduct research.
• Assist Auditors and Criminal Investigators with evaluation of Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9.
• Assist with drafting audit reports and associated administrative fine paperwork for Notices of Intent to Fine and related documentation for HSI audits.
• Coordinate these functions with Criminal Investigators and Auditors.
• Perform all administrative functions necessary to ensure compliance with basic property, time and attendance, facility, and information technology processes in government location
