Job summary

SGI Global is seeking a Junior Compliance Officer to support I-9 audit services and agency enforcement activities for a federal client. The role involves reviewing employment eligibility documents, researching DHS databases, and preparing audit-ready case files and reports in a high-visibility environment.

The position is on-site at government facilities with core business hours in a 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. window, with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, Associates minimum.
• Education preferred in Business, Accounting, Finance or Information Systems.
• 1-3 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Input and evaluate data.
• Use DHS databases to run queries, prepare spreadsheets and conduct research.
• Assist Auditors and Criminal Investigators with I-9 evaluation.
• Draft audit reports and administrative paperwork for Notices of Intent to Fine and related documents.
• Coordinate these functions with Criminal Investigators and Auditors.
• Handle administrative tasks to ensure compliance with government location processes.
