Job summary

Peppercomm, a Ruder Finn company, is seeking a Communications Manager to join its client-facing Communications team in an onsite role supporting government affairs, community relations and corporate communications initiatives for a major automotive manufacturing client.

This is an onsite role in Spartanburg, SC and the candidate will independently manage day-to-day program activities, develop materials, maintain government and community relationships and coordinate events and executive

Qualifications

• At least four years of relevant experience in public relations, corporate communications, public affairs or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications or related discipline preferred.
• Ability to independently manage day-to-day client relationships and projects.
• Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.
• Experience with government and community relations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day client programs and workstreams independently.
• Develop materials and recommendations for client meetings and presentations.
• Coordinate government and community relations initiatives.
• Draft executive briefings, speeches, and talking points.
• Plan and execute onsite events and executive engagements.
• Ensure messaging aligns with broader communications strategy.
