Job summary

Aerotek is seeking experienced Commercial Plumbers to join our construction team in Gardner, KS. This role focuses on installing, assembling, and testing plumbing systems for new commercial construction projects such as schools, hospitals, office buildings, and warehouses.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, laying out systems, installing underground rough-in, and performing pressure tests. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of commercial plumbing experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial plumbing experience preferred.
• Experience with new construction projects required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications.
• Knowledge of PVC, CPVC, cast iron, copper, PEX, and steel piping systems.
• Experience installing underground, rough-in, and finish plumbing.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
• Plumbing license is a plus but not required depending on local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install sanitary waste, vent, storm drain, water supply, and natural gas piping systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and isometric drawings.
• Lay out plumbing systems according to project plans and field measurements.
• Install underground and rough-in plumbing for commercial construction projects.
• Cut, fit, thread, solder, braze, and assemble various types of piping materials.
• Install fixtures, valves, water heaters, pumps, and plumbing equipment.
• Perform pressure tests and inspections on completed systems.
• Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to maintain project schedules.
• Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment on active construction sites.
