Job summary

GM Performance Power Units in Concord, NC is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. In this mission-critical role, you'll work on high-precision components using the latest CNC technology and advanced machining processes in a state-of-the-art facility.

You will set up and operate CNC equipment, maintain in-process inspection records, and collaborate with engineering to ensure parts meet specifications in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate in machine shop technology or machine tool technology/machinist.
• 5+ years of practical working experience in manufacturing / metal-cutting.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
• Recent experience with Fanuc, Siemens, and other CNC controls.
• 5-axis and Mill-turn experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate with engineering.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC equipment to manufacture components to the highest quality standards.
• Maintain in-process inspection and tool-life records for reliability and quality.
• Work with the quality group to adjust machines to bring parts into spec.
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area.
