Wood County Hospital is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead clinical quality, patient safety, and performance improvement as a key member of the executive team. The CMO will align medical staff, oversee governance for the physician enterprise, assure regulatory compliance, manage risk, and advance strategic clinical programs to meet community needs.

This onsite role requires an MD/DO, board certification in the specialty, and at least five years of active clinical practice in a

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school.
• Active MD or DO licensure in the state where hire occurs (Ohio) by time of hire.
• Five years’ experience in active clinical practice; clinical experience in a community hospital setting.
• Maintains board certification in the respective specialty; Physician Executive Certification or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic oversight of clinical quality, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives through participation in key committees.
• Serve as liaison between administration and the medical staff; oversee physician governance and enterprise process improvement.
• Support risk reduction activities and compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Develop budgets, strategic goals, and operating policies for the physician enterprise.
• Maintain clinical privileges with part-time direct patient care duties.
