Job summary

Aardvark Tax Advisors is seeking a Client Advocate to own the client experience for an assigned group of clients and guide them through the tax and accounting process, ensuring engagements move smoothly and clients are well-informed. You will resolve issues, explain concepts in clear terms, and collaborate with tax and delivery teams to meet deadlines.

The role is onsite at our Pleasanton office, with extended hours during peak tax season.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in client service, relationship management, administrative services, or a comparable client-facing role.
• Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution and negotiation.
• Experience leading or mentoring junior team members preferred.
• Understanding of accounting and tax concepts and U.S. tax regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Client Relationship Management: Manage an assigned client list as their escalated point of contact.
• Escalations & Problem Resolution: Resolve Level 1 escalations and lead difficult client conversations to preserve relationships.
• Pipeline & Service Delivery: Keep work moving through intake and delivery pipelines and explain tax concepts to clients in clear language.
• Team & Office Support: Train and develop Front Desk staff and serve as onsite office contact.
