Job summary

Gainwell Technologies is seeking an experienced Claims Data Entry Manager to lead high-volume claims intake and data entry operations in West Sacramento, CA. The role focuses on accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance within Medi-Cal processes.

You will supervise and develop managers, monitor KPIs, and partner with clients and internal teams to drive improvements that increase efficiency and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; preference for business administration, insurance, healthcare administration, or related field.
• Nine+ years of experience in healthcare claims intake, claims processing, data entry operations, or related function.
• Five+ years of leadership or supervisory experience overseeing supervisors or operational teams.
• Experience managing high-volume operational performance through KPIs, SLAs, workforce planning, budgets, and client relationships.
• Knowledge of healthcare claims processing, insurance or medical terminology, policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead claims intake and data entry operations, ensuring accurate, timely processing and adherence to contractual requirements and service levels.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors; foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor volumes, inventory, turnaround times, productivity, quality, KPIs, and SLAs; address performance issues.
• Partner with clients, leadership, and internal stakeholders to resolve challenges and achieve outcomes.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, contracts and regulations.
• Collaborate with IT and Operations to automate processes, standardize procedures, and reduce costs.
