Job summary

Kforce is seeking a Cisco Network Engineer in Draper, UT to design, implement, and support a complex enterprise network spanning multiple sites. This onsite role requires presence in Salt Lake City initially to support hands-on infrastructure work and cross-team collaboration.

You will ensure performance, reliability, and security of LAN/WAN and wireless networks, participate in scalable architecture, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering or a related role.
• Experience configuring and supporting routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks (Cisco preferred).
• Experience supporting VoIP systems, preferably Cisco CUCM.
• Experience with Layer 1, 2, and 3 networking concepts (OSI).
• Strong TCP/IP fundamentals and network security knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless environments.
• Establish and enforce network standards, configurations, and best practices across the organization.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and support routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance, identify issues, and maximize uptime and reliability.
• Support and troubleshoot VoIP systems, preferably Cisco CUCM.
• Design and implement scalable network solutions, including SD-WAN and secure access technologies.
• Provide support for wireless environments, including access points and enterprise devices.
• Collaborate with security teams to enforce network security policies and patching.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, and processes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
