Job summary

Verisma is seeking a Care Coordination Representative to support CCS/HIM services at a client site in Skokie, IL. The role focuses on e-Filing, order/referral management, insurance verifications, prior authorizations, and completing patient forms with accuracy and confidentiality.

You will navigate multiple EHR systems, maintain strict HIPAA practices, and ensure timely, compliant processing of tasks. Some duties may require after-hours or weekend work in a remote-capable capacity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with health information management concepts, EHRs or medical terminology is a plus.
• Proficient in high-volume, fast-paced environments with accuracy.
• Intermediate computer skills and ability to adapt to company software.

Responsibilities

• Process tasks with accuracy, efficiency, and client protocol compliance.
• Evaluate medical documents and file them electronically into patient charts.
• Navigate client EHR software and internal systems with ease.
• Handle high volumes of work with high quality and accuracy.
• Utilize strong data entry and typing skills; move quickly on a keyboard.
• Crosstrain in multiple EHRs to provide team coverage when needed.
• Follow filing processes and consult supervision for proper filing.
• Understand and follow client protocols and Service Level Agreements.
• Log time and transaction counts hourly or as directed by management.
• Know Planning Guidelines or Target Transactions per Hour for client accounts.
• Report variances and actions taken to resolve issues to management.
• Study internal documentation and HIPAA procedures.
• Provide exemplary customer service to all stakeholders while maintaining professionalism.
• Attend trainings as required and comply with standards.
