Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing, headquartered in Reading, PA, is seeking a Security Guard to oversee campus safety and security operations on site at the Corporate Office. You will conduct patrols, monitor alarms, manage access, and assist visitors and staff with directions and inquiries.

The role requires strong communication, quick emergency response, and adherence to procedures. Candidates should have a High School diploma and security experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience in a law enforcement, military, or security role required.
• Must be able to respond immediately to all emergency situations and maintain control of the environment.
• Ability to use post equipment, alarms, logs, and other devices required.
• Must be able to utilize surveillance cameras, monitoring systems, and analyze access logs.
• Ability to utilize the Visitor Management System, computers and online tools required.
• Strong customer service skills when dealing with internal and external people.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Must act within established procedures and refer questionable matters to a supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety and security of the campus.
• Perform routine patrols of buildings and campus grounds.
• Deter unauthorized entries and respond to incidents.
• Provide customer service by guiding visitors, contractors, and associates.
• Control access to entrances and secure areas.
• Complete safety inspections and safety/security audits.
• Represent Penske in a professional manner and build relationships with associates and vendors.
