Job summary

American Youth Foundation is seeking a Facilities Specialist to maintain camp facilities and grounds. The role requires onsite work at Merrowvista – Center Tuftonboro, NH, with housing and meals provided.

This seasonal position involves rounds, grounds care, basic maintenance, and helping foster camp culture through projects and teamwork. Responsibilities include safe tool use, daily upkeep, and readiness to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ (21+ preferred) with driving experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate power tools.
• Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions.
• Strong attention to safety and ability to supervise others when needed.
• Good communication and teamwork with staff and campers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Perform groundskeeping tasks: mowing, trimming, mulching, watering plants.
• Paint/stain buildings, pressure wash, and general building maintenance.
• Move luggage during move-in/move-out, assist with events and projects.
• Be a problem-solver and support program staff and food service as needed.
