Job summary

Akima Infrastructure Services (AIS) at Albuquerque is seeking a CADD Technologist to design components for pulsed power machines. You will create 3D models and detailed drawings, working with engineers, scientists, procurement, and manufacturing to ensure feasibility and proper documentation.

The role requires on-site work 100% at the Albuquerque, NM site, with a focus on GD&T and model-based design practices. DOE L clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 3+ years in CADD or equivalent.
• Proficient in creating mechanical design definitions with 3D solid models and drawings.
• Proficient with PTC Creo, PDMLink (Windchill), and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and drawings to build next generation accelerators and pulsed power machines.
• Partner with engineers and scientists to develop designs.
• Interpret design concepts and identify requirements of detailed working drawings.
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and suppliers on design, schedule, materials and processes.
• Manage documentation in a collaborative engineering environment with approvals and procedures.
