Key People in Elkton, MD is seeking a CAD Drafter to support our CAD Modeling and Drafting department onsite. The role focuses on creating 2D drawings and 3D models for product, tooling, and testing components and assemblies.

You will work with NX CAD and Siemens Teamcenter, following GD&T and ASME standards, and collaborate with engineering to ensure manufacturability. The position is a 6+ month contract, pays $25-32 per hour, and requires US citizenship.

Qualifications

• 5 years minimum CAD drafting and modeling experience.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling and drafting standards.
• Familiarity with GD&T and ASME standards.

Responsabilités

• Plans, lays out, draws, and revises detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, and standard data in a field of specialization such as structures, devices, mechanics, electrical, or electronics. Utilizes computer-aided design equipment, Siemens NX.
• Completes details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices. Determines scaling; inserts necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning; prepares specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations; prepares complete production detail drawings; contributes design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations.
