Job summary

Actalent is seeking a CAD Designer/Drafter to contribute to product design through creating engineering prints, CAD component models, assemblies, and BOM management. This onsite role in Milwaukie, OR supports the product team from concept to customer delivery, with 6–12 month contract potential.

Ideal candidates have NX/ CAD tooling experience, GD&T knowledge, and strong documentation skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with engineering prints, CAD component models, assemblies, and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete detail, assembly, and layout drawings from verbal or written instructions on complex products or plant equipment.
• Design mechanical components and communicate issues to internal/external customers and suppliers.
• Interface with product team in design and development from concept to customer delivery.
• Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and organize data packages.
• Implement Quality Policy and Procedures in daily duties.
• Suggest process improvements when appropriate.
• Solve problems individually or in teams as needed.
• Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance in assigned area and internal controls.
• Develop and monitor processes for legal and ethical compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
