Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Cable Technician to join a design-build and systems integration firm based out of Kermit, TX. This contract role requires onsite reporting in Kermit, TX and offers hourly pay of $20-$23 with a comprehensive benefits package.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in cable tech, with telecom, fiber optics and cable termination experience, and must provide PPE. OSHA 10 certification is required before starting.

Qualifications

• 0-2+ years experience in a cable technician role.
• General telecom, fiber optics and cable termination experience is required.
• Candidates must provide their own PPE.
• OSHA 10 Certification required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Interprets blueprints and understands full project/task scope.
• Tracks material and tool inventory on-site.
• Performs quality installations per industry/manufacturer standards.
• Builds and installs telecom room components (racks, ladder rack, grounding, bonding).
• Installs devices such as card readers, cameras, and WAPs.
