Job summary

JLL in Newark, DE seeks a Mechanical Technician to lead the preventative maintenance program for all mechanical systems, building management and life safety equipment. You will ensure optimal performance through daily inspections, maintenance and timely repairs while maintaining tenant relations.

Evening and weekend work may be required. You will inspect HVAC and electrical equipment, monitor contractors, record readings and maintain CMMS documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of practical HVAC experience.
• Ability to work with hand tools and at heights safely.
• Strong communication and tenant relations skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
• Experience with building management systems and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of mechanical and electrical systems, performing maintenance and repairs.
• Monitor contractors to ensure quality standards and safety.
• Record readings and maintain documentation of system performance.
• Maintain preventative maintenance for life safety equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve building system issues to minimize tenant disruption.
• Maintain positive tenant relations through professional communication.
