Job summary

The Blues Yonder TMS Functional Expert at Themesoft Inc will own configuration, integration, and support for the Blue Yonder Transportation Management System in a 6+ month onsite Austin role. You will serve as the go-to SME for order management, planning, routing rules, and carrier setup, with deep EDI involvement.

You will lead testing cycles (SIT/UAT/DITL), maintain design docs, and resolve TMS/EDI issues across ERP and partner systems.

Qualifications

• Deep Blue Yonder TMS expertise with order management, planning/optimization, tendering, execution and freight audit & pay.
• Experience mapping and testing EDI transactions (204, 990, 214, 210, 810, 997).
• Ability to own partner onboarding, mapping, testing and go-live for new carriers/customers.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for Blue Yonder TMS order management, planning/optimization, tendering, execution, and freight audit & pay.
• Translate business requirements into configuration: routing guides, rate tables, business rules, carrier setup, user roles.
• Lead functional testing for upgrades, patches, and releases; maintain design docs and process flows.
• Design and support EDI end-to-end; own onboarding specs, mapping, testing, and go-live for new partners.
• Troubleshoot transaction failures and mapping across VAN, AS2, SFTP, and API connections.
• Work with integration teams to resolve issues between TMS, ERP, WMS, and partner systems.
• Drive SIT/UAT/DITL testing cycles with an EDI lens; write test scripts; validate mappings and end-to-end reconciliation.
• Own defect triage and root-cause analysis through go-live and hypercare.
• Provide L2/L3 support for TMS and EDI incidents within SLA; monitor queues and logs; push for automation and standardization.

We're looking for a **Blue Yonder TMS Functional Expert** with deep **EDI** expertise to own the configuration, integration, and support of our Blue Yonder Transportation Management System. This is a hands‑on role for someone who understands transportation operations as well as they understand EDI mapping, and who's comfortable being the go‑to person

Responsibilities

• Act as the SME for Blue Yonder TMS order management, planning/optimization, tendering, execution, and freight audit & pay
• Translate business requirements into configuration: routing guides, rate tables, business rules, carrier setup, user roles
• Lead functional testing for upgrades, patches, and periodic releases
• Maintain functional design docs, configuration specs, and process flows

Design and support EDI end-to‑end

• Build and maintain EDI transaction sets used across TMS operations (204, 990, 214, 210, 810, 997
• Own trading partner onboarding spec review, mapping, testing, go‑live for new carriers and customers
• Troubleshoot transaction failures and mapping errors across VAN, AS2, SFTP, and API connections
• Work with integration teams to resolve issues between TMS, ERP, WMS, and partner systems

Drive testing quality

• Lead or support SIT, UAT, and Day-in-the-Life (DITL) testing cycles with an EDI‑specific lens
• Write test scripts covering standard, edge‑case, and exception flows
• Validate mappings, acknowledgments (997/999), and end‑to‑end reconciliation
• Own defect triage and root‑cause analysis through go‑live and hypercare

Keep it running

• Provide L2/L3 support for TMS and EDI incidents within SLA
• Monitor transaction queues and error logs; get ahead of failures before they become escalations
• Push for automation and standardization to shrink manual exception handling
• Be the connective expert between business users, IT, and external partners on all things TMS/EDI
