Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Downstream CQV Engineer for an onsite, six-month contract based in Holly Springs, NC. The role emphasizes commissioning and qualification activities across multi-building production environments, with a focus on downstream systems and utilities.

The ideal candidate has 2–10 years of CQV/validation experience in large-scale manufacturing, familiarity with Kneat, and a mechanical/engineering background to inspect and troubleshoot equipment.

Qualifications

• 2–10 years of hands-on CQV/validation experience in large-scale manufacturing environments.
• Experience with downstream processing equipment, ultrafiltration preferred.
• Mechanical or engineering background with ability to inspect and troubleshoot equipment.
• Familiarity with installation verification, utilities qualification, and system turnover processes.
• Experience with electronic validation systems (e.g., Kneat) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute CQV activities for downstream manufacturing systems and utilities.
• Review drawings, P&IDs, and system documentation to support field execution.
• Perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and field walkdowns for large-scale equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to meet project timelines.
• Develop and complete electronic documentation and turnover packages per internal and regulatory standards.
