Job summary

GE HealthCare in Reston, VA is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician 2 to service hospital equipment onsite. You will diagnose, repair, and PM devices, while maintaining strong customer relations and ensuring compliant documentation.

The role requires 2+ years of equipment service experience or equivalent training, an engineering or related degree, and willingness to participate in rotating on-call duties. A team-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have strong analytical and communication skills to explain technical issues clearly.
• Experience servicing medical equipment is required; degree or military equivalent accepted.
• Willingness to be available after hours or on rotating on-call schedules as needed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate complex biomedical equipment issues and implement repairs.
• Perform planned maintenance, safety/environmental inspections, and document actions.
• Lead and assist technicians; coordinate with customers and vendors for service delivery.
• Maintain parts inventory and ensure calibration of tools and equipment.
• Share on-call responsibilities and ensure timely follow-up with customers.
