Job summary

AVI-SPL is seeking an Onsite Maintenance Technician in Nashville to partner with customers, management, Global Helpdesk, and SIG teams to deliver world-class on-site service. You will assist with conference room setups, preventative maintenance, hardware testing and repair, and client training on AV technology.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to communicate with customers and team members.
• Experience supporting Cisco technologies or similar networking gear.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Basic computer knowledge and software familiarity.
• Knowledge of audio/video signal flow and control basics.

Responsibilities

• Set up and breakdown conference spaces to meet event needs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and test/repair AV hardware components.
• Clean AV equipment such as cameras, monitors, and fans.
• Document job-site activity and provide client training on AV tech as needed.
• Complete timely support tasks including meeting support and basic AV installations.
• Collaborate professionally with internal and external teams.
• Adhere to local safety standards on site duties.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV systems.
• Travel to multiple job sites as required.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Onsite Maintenance Technician will work in partnership with the Customer, management team, Global Helpdesk, and SIG teams to provide on premises support for AVI-SPL customers at customer site(s) with the end goals of delivering a world-class Customer Service experience.

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

• Setup and breakdown of conference spaces to meet the customers event needs
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to help maintain customer spaces including but not limited to: ensuring that all technology works as designed and testing/repairing various hardware components
• Clean various AV equipment including but not limited to: camera lenses, monitors and equipment fans.
• Responsible for job site documentation and providing client training on the AV Technology as needed
• Perform support tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner including but not limited to: meeting support, installing non-complex AV components, and video/audio recording support where applicable
• Collaborate with internal/external teams in a professional manner that reflects the values of AVI-SPL
• Understand and adhere to local safety standards for all site duties
• Setup, operate and troubleshoot various audio/video systems
• Travel to various job sites as required

Items to Consider:

• AVI-SPL reserves the right to alter work hours and work location as necessary. Work hours may vary based on client requirements and may include travel to various locations in support of the account.
• This position will generally work on customer sites and may deal with a construction site type of work environment.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves:

• Strong experience supporting Cisco technologies
• Ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues
• Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner including soldering & crimping connectors
• Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
• Intermediate computer knowledge
• Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and control
• Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 – 3 years of audiovisual integration experience preferred
