AVI-SPL is a digital enablement solutions provider delivering world-class AV services at client sites. The Onsite Maintenance Technician collaborates with customers, management, and the Global Helpdesk to deliver outstanding service.

You will perform preventative maintenance, set up conference spaces, troubleshoot AV systems, and travel to various job sites as required. A driver’s license and 1–3 years of audiovisual integration experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Effective communication with customers, colleagues, and employees.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely, including basic soldering & crimping.
• Capable of working independently and meeting deadlines.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with AV systems.

Responsabilités

• Setup and breakdown of conference spaces to meet event needs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on AV equipment and test/repair components.
• Clean AV gear such as lenses, monitors, and fans.
• Document job site work and train clients on AV technology as needed.
• Provide timely support including basic AV installations and recording support.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Onsite Maintenance Technician will work in partnership with the Customer, management team, Global Helpdesk, and SIG teams to provide on premises support for AVI-SPL customers at customer site(s) with the end goals of delivering a world-class Customer Service experience.

Day-To-Day Responsibilities

• Setup and breakdown of conference spaces to meet the customers event needs
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to help maintain customer spaces including but not limited to: ensuring that all technology works as designed and testing/repairing various hardware components
• Clean various AV equipment including but not limited to: camera lenses, monitors and equipment fans.
• Responsible for job site documentation and providing client training on the AV Technology as needed
• Perform support tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner including but not limited to: meeting support, installing non-complex AV components, and video/audio recording support where applicable
• Collaborate with internal/external teams in a professional manner that reflects the values of AVI-SPL
• Understand and adhere to local safety standards for all site duties
• Setup, operate and troubleshoot various audio/video systems
• Travel to various job sites as required

Items to Consider

• AVI-SPL reserves the right to alter work hours and work location as necessary. Work hours may vary based on client requirements and may include travel to various locations in support of the account.
• This position will generally work on customer sites and may deal with a construction site type of work environment.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves

• Ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues
• Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner including soldering & crimping connectors
• Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
• Intermediate computer knowledge
• Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and control
• Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 – 3 years of audiovisual integration experience preferred

• Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
