Job summary

Catapult Federal Services in Tysons, VA is seeking an AV Design Specialist 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit. You will design, engineer, integrate, operate and maintain AV/IT systems for federal, local and commercial customers, including videoconferencing and control systems.

The role requires strong communication skills, ability to travel up to 20%, and experience with hardware/software solutions for data centers and virtual infrastructures.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of installation, troubleshooting, and testing of electronic security systems (high school diploma path).
• 8+ years experience with installation and testing for associates degree path.
• 5+ years or more with a Bachelor's in related field.
• 3+ years with Master's in related field and progressive experience in data center and virtual infrastructure technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design the systems hardware and software framework for large complex resilient systems; create drawing packages and BOMs in CAD.
• Design and test videoconferencing and integrated AV technologies (VC, control systems, displays, video walls, matrix systems, audio reinforcement).
• Design AV systems with Crestron, AMX and Extron control systems.
• Conduct customer site surveys; provide sales engineering support; develop project scopes and system costings.
• Develop test plans for AV control systems; conduct on-site user and admin training.
• Read plans/specifications to select materials/equipment to meet requirements.
